Today is the celebration of one of our favourite flowers, the Yves Piaget Rose.
Not only is it beautiful but the flower's scent is also breathtaking. The Yves Piaget Rose was named after Yves Piaget, of the the luxury jewellery and watchmaking brand Piaget. And today, for the second year running, Piaget celebrates its Rose Day.
Yves Piaget had a love for Roses since his childhood, and this love made its way into his jewellery designs. This soon became a motif for diamond encrusted rings, necklaces and even an 18ct gold lifesize rose trophy, all inspired from roses. Yves even became a patron to restore the former rose garden of Chateau de Malmaison, a residence originally acquired by Napoleon Bonaparte.
